Did you check the new web-based application called AirBnB?
Miel on his blog shared some information regarding this application.
First thing I did – checked prices…and big surprise, so far not so cheap. I think the reason why is not very cheap is because you can find there better standard than in a motel. You can find private homes (room to rent) or summer/winter resorts.
- You have an extra room in your home/condo and you need some extra money to pay your rent –> you can share your room and post information on AirBnB.
- Are you looking for a place to stay for a day/week/month but you don’t want to stay at the hotel –> it looks like AirBnB are building their database but still there are a lot of options
