It’s Never too Late to Start

I believe that it’s never too late to start something new…so why not to try social media applications and expend your interests or maybe get in touch with your old friends and family. Over the last few years I heard same comments/questions regarding social media:

  • where to start my social media journey?
  • I’m too old for that, it’s for young people
  • I don’t understand social media – it’s too complicated
  • there is nothing interesting about social media
  • too much to learn
  • I’m afraid to use social media applications. Privacy issues

I understand that the beginning might be overwhelming. The number of applications, privacy settings, editing, all those bells & whistles – that’s too much. But after that first “wow! that’s too much” moment you can discover that actually is not that complicated and you can have a lot of fun.

The important thing is that thanks to social media environment you can discover something new, you can enrich your life. No worries, if you decide you don’t like social media anymore – you can always stop. Oh and lets not forget that most of those applications/platforms are for free.

So what to do? How to start your social media journey?

  • search the internet for some information, check youtube for videos with tutorials
  • ask your friends, family – what they can suggest/recommend
  • find a computer club near you, where you can sign up for social media workshops
  • read the instructions – most of them are short
  • enjoy

The age doesn’t matter – you can start your social media journey any time and just discover that it’s right for you. It’s another way of communication and interactions with people, companies, etc.
